About the company

A leading law firm has a permanent job opportunity for a Research Executive to join a small team within the Business Development department. The Executive is the more junior position within the team. The office is based in central London.


What you'll be doing

Key job responsibilities will include:

- Researching market activity, and providing analysis for fee earners

- Preparing analysis (including M&A)

- Producing company research and people profiles for client meetings and business planning

- Producing quarterly 'adviser rankings' reports

- Supporting the Client Relationship Management Programme and identifying missed opportunities.

- Producing client and target lists and analysis

- Providing deal information for pitches and other materials

This job opportunity would suit someone with excellent research and data analysis skills, gained from a similar professional services or corporate background and someone who is great at stakeholder management.

In addition to your excellent research and analytical skills, you should possess:

- previous experience of using research databases such as Mergermarket, Capital IQ, Mint etc.;

- strong Excel skills, able to analyse and manipulate data using pivot tables, vlookups etc.

- good report writing skills

- excellent attention to detail with good use of grammar and numerical accuracy

- excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written, spoken and presentational
