A leading law firm has a current job opportunity for an Information Officer to provide a range of duties within the information services department, which is based in Bristol.
The Information Officer will provide a range of information services, to include:
- research and respond to enquiries including both business and legal enquiries.
- current awareness duties
- managing the library catalogue and the ordering of books, journals, serials etc.
- delivering training on a one to one and group basis.
Job applications are welcomed from candidates who have worked in a legal or other corporate library/research information team. Ideally you will also possess a library or information management qualification, although equivalent experience is also valued.
You will have some research experience already and ideally this will include some knowledge of the major legal research databases.
This would suit someone with strong interpersonal skills and the confidence and communication skills to work with lawyers of all levels.
