Multilingual Bulgarian or Hungarian speaking Senior Researcher – Home Working

A successful, growing, and award winning financial regulatory technology organisation has a newly created permanent job opportunity for a multilingual Bulgarian or Hungarian Senior Researcher / Linguist, with legal research experience, working full time based from home.

Are you an experienced researcher, fluent in Bulgarian or Hungarian, in addition to fluent English and one further language? (see list below)

This is a great opportunity to use your language skills, working primarily from home in the UK, with the ability to travel to London occasionally.

As a multilingual Senior Researcher / Linguist you will analyse and interpret complex information and have excellent research skills.  

You will have excellent communication skills, communicating clearly and concisely in written and spoken English (UK) and be a team player. 

You must have a good knowledge of office applications including Word and Excel and the ability to work with electronic research resources.

Ideally your research experience might include legal sector or financial services experience.

We are looking for fluency in 2 languages as well as English from:

Bulgarian, Hungarian

Czech or Polish or Kazakh

Turkish or Ukrainian or Slovak

Armenian or Croatian or Slovenian or Uzbek or Somali or Tigrigna or Amharic or Azerbaijani or Belarusian or Southern Sotho or Kyrgyz or Pashto, Dari, Tajiki or Turkmen.

Key job responsibilities will include:

Identify official, publicly available, online sources for law and regulation and news about regulatory change

Identify key metadata for law and regulation such as citation, effective date and status

Monitor law and regulations for updates

Translate law and regulation into English using a combination of machine translation, QA checks and corrections

Update testing and translation correction.

Any knowledge of legal citation, concepts & terminology, of the law-making and publishing processes would be a bonus

Experience working in the Financial Services sector would also be a bonus.

This is a permanent job opportunity for a Multilingual Hungarian or Bulgarian speaker with fluent spoken and written English, and significant legal research experience, to work based from home, in any location in the UK. 
You must have good internet access and be able to work on a remote basis such as from home, in a secure environment.  There may be occasional office team meet ups, perhaps every 2 months, in London.
