An independent UK government regulator based in central London is looking for a Senior Information and Knowledge Advisor to support the development of knowledge management practices and promote compliance.


What you'll be doing

To work as part of a small team providing comprehensive information, knowledge and systems management services to the Commission. To ensure that information and knowledge are managed effectively and corporate systems and processes are running efficiently and to their fullest potential. To support the development of knowledge management practices through existing corporate systems. To have particular responsibility for promoting compliance in information systems policy and procedures.

Main Responsibilities

* Information and Knowledge Management, e.g. ensuring that information and knowledge assets are managed in a way which guarantees their integrity, availability and security to reduce the risk of reputational or other harm to the organisation

* SharePoint system strategy and support e.g. to help staff understand how they should manage their information and knowledge, particularly to make best use of the organisation's SharePoint implementation

* Records Management e.g. Work with the Facilities and Business Support teams to ensure that the hardcopy files are managed in line with Commission Policies and retention Schedules

* Be able to work in cross-Commission project teams and contribute to the Digital Transformation strategy

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and able to negotiate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders. You will also be able to think and act creatively in dealing with information management issues

To be considered for this role you will require:

* Relevant qualification, degree or equivalent experience

* Experience working in information and records management

* Knowledge of information and records management concepts

* Experience of using Microsoft SharePoint 2010 to achieve efficient information management
