A leading law firm has a permanent job opportunity for a Strategic Research and Insight Manager, based in London.
This position is responsible for leading the provision of strategic research across the UK and abroad, as part of a global team. This will include deciding the nature of and ensuring the quality of research and insight provided to the business delivers opinions and actionable recommendations.
This may include research into competitors, economics, industries, practice areas and by geography. You will identify new opportunities for the firm and support Business Development initiatives. You will be an expert for the law firm on regional competitor activity, commercial trends and market developments in the legal sector.
You will be able to develop strong relationships with stakeholders across the UK and abroad, to become a trusted adviser on strategic decision making. This will enable you to design effective research projects and solutions to their business requirements.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in a similar strategic research role, gained preferably within a legal, otherwise another professional services organisation. Ideally you will have led a strategic research or insight function and possess a strong understanding of the legal marketplace.
You will be able to use a range of information resources, and have strong knowledge of the relevant business databases, to facilitate your analysis; and your analysis skills will include the ability to provide insight, interpretation and commentary from your analysis of large amounts of data.
It is an essential job requirement that you be able to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders including senior people. You will be able to get your message across confidently to this senior audience.
You will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
