Information Manager - A FTC 12 month job opportunity is currently available for an Information Manager to join an existing central Library and Information service team, based within a leading law firm.  This role can be based at the firm’s UK wide offices with a choice of locations, with a remote working pattern in place.
 
What you’ll be doing
 
This is a varied information role, with a range of job responsibilities, including leading the delivery and client account management, answering higher level legal research requests, provision of regular current awareness and know how to clients, training for clients on maximizing their information resources, and financial reporting and budget management.It is also actively promoting the service to end users/key stakeholders and senior management.

Who you are
 
The job requirements ideally include a Library and Information qualification and a passion for information and research.  It is highly desirable that you have 6 years’ relevant experience in a research or information service.  Ideally this will have been gained from another law firm or another professional services firm.  

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• Confident in managing budgets and vendors

• Willingness to adapt approaches based on organisation changes

• Ability to anticipate and resolve problems

• Dedication to the client and the requirements of external and internal colleagues

• Technically competent in using Microsoft products

 Culture fit and the right personality is equally important as research, knowledge, and information experience.  You should have a customer service focus, be a strong communicator with a positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for information services.
