A leading law firm has a new job opportunity for an Information Services Officer, which could be based at one of several office locations, such as Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds or Manchester, plus some home working.
The role will likely have a focus on one of (a) procurement or (b) enquiries and training.
The main job requirements of both focused areas are outlined below.
The role will assist in procuring online and hard copy legal and business information resources to meet our business needs. It will develop relationships with suppliers and monitor our use of resources to inform renewals.
The role will provide an enquiries, legal research and document supply service. Research elements include specialist legal research and monitoring future legal developments to help our business stand out, grow profitably and win and retain clients.
The role will manage and promote the legal and business information resources for the business through current awareness and the intranet. The individual will classify and catalogue resources and train our fee earners on getting the most out of them.

You should possess:
- experience in a Knowledge/Library or Information services role, gained within a professional services environment.
- experience of delivering training on online information products such as legal and business research databases
