A leading law firm has a new permanent job vacancy for a Knowledge Management Officer based in London with a hybrid working pattern in place.This role is to join the central Knowledge, LawTech Team who are committed to being market leaders of how new technologies, processes and solutions are used in their legal field.

 

The role will be involved with knowledge systems, related practices, and processes. This will include ensuring compliance with GDPR and other relevant law and regulation including the firm’s know-how and precedent databases, architecture and taxonomy;the firm’s intranet and internal collaboration solutions;legal search engines and associated integrations and the firm’s culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.

As Knowledge Officer your job role will include:

  • Establishing a role as a daily central point of contact for the Professional Support Lawyers and continue to build strong working relationships

  • Supporting the growth in quality precedents and know how

  • Excel and PowerPoint), database software and typical office IT systems generally

  • Optimising how the information content is provisioned

  • Providing a current awareness service, including providing support and advice to users on how to use our technology.

  • Supporting the firm’s Knowledge Manager with the review of legal taxonomies, automated and classification of legal content.

  • Helping to develop and trial new systems and features and providing feedback

The ideal candidate may have two to three years’ experience working in a legal, professional services or corporate office environment.  A master’s in information science or similar would be beneficial.

You will thrive on driving the delivery of KM projects and programmes, be personable and have bags of enthusiasm.You will possess the ability to develop a good understanding of the work of the legal practice areas to appreciate internal clients' information needs, to identify relevant knowledge and effectively draft/edit summaries and disseminate such content.
