A permanent job opportunity is currently available for a Senior Research Officer to join an existing central Library and Information service team, based within a leading law firm.  This role can be based at the firm’s UK wide offices, with a remote working pattern in place.
 
What you’ll be doing
 
This is a varied information role, with a range of job responsibilities, including a large amount of legal and business research, from quick turnaround legal enquiries to more in-depth research to support marketing and business development.  There will also be general Library and Information services work, such as supporting acquisitions and subscriptions, providing current awareness bulletins to the business, training and, supervising an Information Officer.  You will be confident in proactively recommending purchasing decisions in line with the digital procurement strategy and firm development.  An understanding and awareness of copyright licencing requirements would be beneficial too.

Who you are
 
 The job requirements include a Library and Information qualification and a passion for information and research.  It is highly desirable that you have 3 years’ relevant experience in a research or information service.  Ideally this will have been gained from another law firm or another professional services firm.  

 Culture fit and the right personality is equally important as research, knowledge and information experience.  You should have a customer service focus, be a strong communicator with a positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for information services.
