​A new permanent job opportunity is currently available for a Senior Information Officer to join an existing central Library and Information service team, based within a leading law firm.  This is a new role due to increased business demand.

This role can be based at the firm’s UK wide offices with a choice of locations, with a remote working pattern in place.
 
What you’ll be doing

You will be supporting the Information Team in the delivery of the following services:

• ·         Research, answering a range of legal and business information requests

• ·         Current awareness; supporting the end-to-end management of current awareness, including appropriate facilitation and usage of content aggregators

• ·         Information Management; updating client intranet pages, maintaining internal process documents, and supporting the wider service with admin tasks

Who you are
 
 The job requirements ideally include a Library and Information qualification and a passion for information and research.  It is highly desirable that you have 3 years’ relevant experience in a research or information service.  Ideally this will have been gained from another law firm or another professional services firm.  
 Culture fit and the right personality is equally important as research, knowledge and information experience.  You should have a customer service focus, be a strong communicator with a positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for information services.
